Throw strawberries and sugar together in a bowl; refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Beat milk and pudding combine as one in a bowl with a race for around 2 minutes; overlap whipped besting into the pudding combination.
Cut light, fluffy cake evenly into 3 layers. Spread strawberry jam onto cut side of 1 layer assembling it with one of the excess layers; cut into 2 inch pieces. Spread jam onto the leftover layer and furthermore cut into 2-inch pieces; sandwich sorts out.
